Sea Turtles and Island Conservation Project, Koh Phra Thong Thailand

Crowdfunding 2026

A Small Museum with a Big Story

Since 1996, our small information center on Koh Phra Thong has been a quiet witness to 30 years of conservation. It wasn’t a grand museum, but it was ours—a humble space housing local marine findings, sea turtle records, and the shared memories of volunteers and the local community.

Why We are Rebuilding

Time and the tropical environment have been harsh. Today, the wooden structure that protected our small collection is literally falling apart. The roof is failing, and the exhibits are at risk.

We have launched this crowdfunding campaign because we refuse to let these 30 years of history simply crumble away. Our goal is to relocate and reconstruct this center:

  • To Save the Collection: Moving our findings and historical records to a safe, dry, and stable environment.
  • To Restore the Experience: Rebuilding the small museum area so it can once again welcome visitors and students.
  • To Honor the Legacy: Ensuring that the work started in 1996 continues to have a physical home on the island.

Help Us Save the Pieces

We aren’t looking to build something massive; we just want to restore what was lost and make it better, safer, and sustainable. Every donation helps us buy the materials needed to move the collection and raise the new walls.
