Lazio Hills, about 20 km from the Sea and 40 km south of Rome.

A place of mythology (Jason and Argonauts, Ulysses), the site of numerous battles (first with the Volsci, Latins and Romans and later as a refuge for Lucio Silla during the war with Mario), and currently divided into three Rioni corresponding to the three accesses into the town.
